We wanted to let you know that our Zoos are still open and remain a great place to get outside in the fresh air – our animals and keepers would love to see you!
During these challenging times we’d like to reassure you that we’re doing everything to ensure that our Zoos remain responsibly open, that we keep our visitors and staff safe, and that we continue to act on the advice of the Government. With immediate effect, we have implemented the following changes:
- All indoor restaurants and catering are closed. Food and drink is available at outdoor takeaway facilities.
- Some walk-through enclosures / experiences are closed. Other indoor experiences (such as butterfly houses) will remain open, but visitor numbers will be managed to enable appropriate distancing between visitors.
- Indoor soft play at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is closed.
- We have increased the number of hand sanitisation facilities at both sites.
We’ll be reviewing this on a daily basis and of course we’ll let you know if and when these arrangements change.
