Capital Growth: London Honey Festival: The London Honey Festival
The London Honey Festival is a celebration of London Honey, from across the capital as far as Croydon to Bexley, Tottenham to Ruislip, King's Cross to the Royal Festival Hall. You can participate in the festival at selected restaurants, local shops and at the Honey Festival itself.
During August London restaurants will be creating dishes with the Capital's honey, while some shops will be selling pots of London's local season harvest. The festival will close on the 21st of August with a celebration of honey at the Royal Festival Hall (12-5pm).
The London Honey Festival, Royal Festival Hall, 21st August
This is a free public at the Royal Festival Hall, 21st August from 12pm to 5pm. The event supports the 60th anniversary celebrations for the Festival of Britain. A huge number of London beekeepers will be behind stalls with information on bees, observation hives, and honey samples. You will also be able to buy and vote on your favourite London honey, with prizes for the best honey. The event is designed for the whole family, with children’s bee mask-making workshops, observation hives, and education stalls.
