Clapham Common Fireworks Display 5th Nov 2011(Free)


This year its not being held at Clapham Common but Nearby Brockwell Park and its Free!!
Well done Lambeth!



This year’s fireworks display will take place at 8pm in Brockwell Park onSaturday 5 November and will celebrate the bicentenary of Brockwell Hall, now a Grade II listed building.
To celebrate 200 years ofBrockwell Hall, the fireworks will be set to music from the last 200 years and a funfair and stalls, food and mulled wine will be available from 4pmEntry is free.

To make sure that everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable display, no sparklers, fireworks for personal use or Chinese lanterns will be allowed into the park.

Timetable

  • 4pm Event opens
  • 4.15pm Main arena entertainment, funfair and stalls
  • 8pm Fireworks display
  • 8.30pm Entertainment, funfair and stalls.

We have lots going on this year from morris men, stilt walkers, fire dancers and live music:
Roaming - around the event
  • 4 to 5pm Blackheath Morris Men
  • 4 to 7.30pm Steve Kaos and Jem will be stilt walking and cycling on large bikes

  • 4 to 4.45pm This Way Up
  • 5 to 5.45pm The Trouser Band
  • 6 to 6.45pm Lambeth Wind Orchestra
  • 7 to 7.45pm Popchoir
  • 9 to 9.15pm The Morellas

Getting to the display

For up to date travel information and to plan your route please check with Transport for London (TfL) and National Rail enquiries.
  • Tube: Brixton on the Victoria line, Brockwell park is then a 20 minute walk, two minute train journey to Herne Hill or a seven minute bus ride.
  • By bus: bus routes 2, 3, 37, 68, 196, 322, 432, 468 and 690 all serve this area.
  • By rail: Herne Hill and Tulse Hill stations are a short distance away.
Please note:
London Buses will be suspending all the bus stops on Dulwich Road between Norwood Road and Spencer Road in both directions.
Bus route 201 will not be stopping at it’s current stand and so atemporary standing facility will be available on Rymer Street. Thesouthbound bus stop on Norwood Road opposite Brockwell Park will also be suspended for the night.

Parking suspensions will be enforcement around the surrounding areas of Brockwell Park for the Lambeth Firework.
There will be no parking at the park for the fireworks event.
