Frost fair display at the exhibition

The tidal Thames froze more than 20 times between 1309 and 1814, and ‘Frost Fairs’ of stalls offered food, drink, bear-baiting, skating and puppet shows for Londoners. Learn more about these remarkable events and the London that Shakespeare lived in at our Exhibition.
Temporary Frost fair display 1 December to 2 January.
