BBC Museum at Home
The Horniman's Aquarium Curator, Jamie Craggs, was featured on yesterday's Museum From Home showcase on BBC.
One of our dedicated staff is at the Museum every day to care for the fish and frogs in our Aquarium, and when Jamie was on site earlier this week, he went behind the scenes to show the tanks used for our pioneering Project Coral research.

The Horniman during the Second World War
The Horniman has only been closed once before and that was during the Second World War. In August 1944, the Horniman was closed due to damage caused by a flying bomb. It reopened in June 1945 after repairs were made to the building.
Read our blog to discover more about the Horniman’s history during this time and how the Museum helped the war effort.

Support the Horniman
The Horniman is a charity and every day that the Museum is closed means that we lose vital income that is needed to help care for our animal residents, and to continue to maintain our Gardens.
We would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation to the Horniman. Your generosity will help provide stability for us at this difficult time, and ensure we can plan ahead for exciting displays and events when we re-open.
