| See how far we’ve comeDominic, would you believe the Tube turned 160 this month? That’s right, 10 January marked the 160th anniversary of the first train operating on the Metropolitan Railway between Paddington and Farringdon. Since then, the Underground has grown to 272 stations on 11 lines and we’re planning on getting even bigger and better. Last year saw the Northern Line Extension and you can expect lots more improvements to come, including Bank Station completing its major upgrade in early 2023.
Check out our selection of free and low cost ways to celebrate some Tube history in January.
