Meet dinosaurs and other prehistoric giants face to face, each one masterfully built using LEGO® bricks. This family-friendly exhibition also features rarely seen dinosaur specimens from the Horniman’s Stores and lots of hands-on activities for children to enjoy.

Glorious minigolf returns to the Horniman Gardens this April, with nine holes themed around your favourite Horniman attractions. 

Access and putters for wheelchair users, as well as putters for the kids.

Horniman Market: Second-hand Sunday

Sunday 30 April, 10am – 3pm

This month we're holding our first special Second-hand Sunday at the weekly Horniman Market. In addition to the usual Market offer there will be extra stalls selling previously loved clothes, books, toys and more.

Every Wednesday from 5 April, 10am and 11.30am

Family-friendly sessions for young children and adults who want to play and learn together outdoors, getting as messy as they dare!


The Wild Escape

The Wild Escape is a major new project led by Art Fund uniting hundreds of museums with schools and families in a celebration of UK wildlife and creativity.

From 22 April, Earth Day 2023, look out for a free display of comic-book style artworks by local schoolchildren in the Gardens, and join us to make your own Wildlife Comic.

Let your imagination go wild and design your own comic book inspired by the wildlife in our Museum and Collections, with help from illustrator Giulia Casarotto.
