London Parks- Brockwell Park

The Brockwell Hall Park Estate was created and landscaped in 1811. Many of its original features can still be seen today. It was purchased for the people of Lambeth & Southwark and opened as a public park in 1892 by Lord Rosebery who said whatever happens, this is preserved to you and your descendants for ever as an open space.
The 20th century saw changes and developments but past eras have retained their identity. This contributes to Brockwell Park's unique character.
Today there is an active Friends of Brockwell Park and a Management Advisory Committee made up of local stakeholders and users. They are working in partnership with Lambeth Council to protect and enhance this much loved and valued greenspace.
