Thousands of people have taken part in London's New Year's Day parade, which celebrated the transport network.
More than 500,000 people were expected at the event, which started outside The Ritz Hotel, in Piccadilly, and came to an end in Parliament Square.
Its route included Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall and Trafalgar Square.
The parade featured steam engines, horse drawn vehicles, bicycles, classic cars, motorcycles and marching bands.
The 2.2-mile parade - now in its 29th year - started at midday.
'Blow away the cobwebs'
Ahead of the event, parade executive director Bob Bone, said: "Coming to see the parade is without doubt the best way to start the year.
"Blow away the cobwebs, soak up the atmosphere, support your local borough entry and help raise some money for any number of great causes."
Garrett Emmerson, Transport for London's (TfL) chief operating officer of surface transport, said: "Our iconic buses, bikes, trains and taxis don't just transport people around the capital - they have played a key role in shaping its social and economic landscape."
