The 17th-century Queen’s House represents a turning point in English architecture. It was originally the home of Charles I's queen, Henrietta Maria. It now showcases the Museum's outstanding fine-art collection and provides a unique and beautiful venue for weddings, corporate and private events.

Painted ceiling conservation
As part of the essential conservation work on the painted ceiling of The Queen's Bedchamber (QH1554) of the Queen's House, the Queen’s Bedchamber will be closed to the public on Monday 17 June, Friday 21 June and Friday 28 June. The conservation work is expected to be completed later in the summer. While work is underway the ceiling will not be visible, but visitors will be able to walk through the room and there will be panels explaining the conservation treatment plus a short film of the conservators.
