Gain a greater insight into the Geffrye over the past 300 years in a series of free lunchtime talks, including the weird and wonderful animals that lived in the almshouses, the early years of the museum and our future plans.

Food through the ages
Thursday 16 October, 7 - 10pm.
Step back in time and enjoy a special evening combining historical food and interiors. Explore the period rooms then enjoy canapés and a three-course meal featuring a key recipe from each century devised by Matt Phelps from Funthyme, with introductions by food historian Kate Colquhoun.

A Gothic and Ghostly Gathering

Visit our candlelit early period rooms before settling down for a spine-tingling evening with live music, readings, riddles and anecdotes and ballads from the 18th and 19th centuries. With Dr Abigail Williams and Alva theatre company.
