Regent's Canal drained for repairs


It was a rare chance to see what lies beneath the surface of one of London's canals after 7.5 million gallons of water was drained from Regent's Canal in east London.
The draining of the water, which was required to refurbish part of the canal, revealed a safe, shopping trolleys and even a giant carp.
