This display takes a look at children’s birthday parties from the perspective of both children and parents, and centres around a life-sized installation telling the story of Wilfred, a shy resident of the Museum. Initially interested in documenting their differences, Galimberti discovered that whether in Zambia, Texas, Ukraine or Japan, and whether they owned a fleet of miniature cars or a single stuffed monkey, the children he photographed were simply interested in playing.
