English Tourism Week

English Tourism Week: "Enjoy all your City has to offer for FREE!
To celebrate English Tourism Week, we have planned a programme of free activities for local residents and workers to discover the City’s rich heritage and culture. See our list of free events including walks, talks and tours below!"

Free talks and tours

19 March - This is Wren

Tony Tucker will talk you through Wren's life and careers as a scientist, astronomer and architect with particular focus on his City Churches.
Guildhall Library, Aldermanbury EC2V 7HH
When: 2-3pm; unreserved seating, please arrive early

20 March - Coffee with the Curator 

Join Assistant Curator Katty Pearce for a morning beverage and pre-work tour of Guildhall Art Gallery’s collections. Coffee will be served at 8.15amand the 45 minute tour will start at 8.30am.
Places are first come first served.

23 March - Tours of Guildhall complex

The Gothic Guildhall, built around 1411, is an impressive sight. Join a City Guide on this tour to hear about its history, including its survival through the Great Fire and the Blitz and some of that notorious events that took place here such as the trial of Lady Jane Grey.
Tours will begin at 11.30am and 2.30pm and from the West Wing Reception, Aldermanbury, EC2V 7HH

Free daily guided walks

Join the City Guides for a FREE themed guided walk of the City. Walks will leave the City Information Centre at 5.45pm on the dates below. Places are first come first served.
