Stranger Than Fiction now open
Until 9 November 2014
'Journeying into Fontcuberta’s mischievous make-believe world finds visitors caught somewhere between Alice’s Wonderland and Charles Darwin’s Galapagos with all the thrill and excitement of an Indiana Jones adventure thrown inLondon Calling

This first major UK exhibition by award-winning photographer Joan Fontcuberta features six documentary narratives that combine reality and fiction. Using the visual languages of journalism, advertising, museum displays and scientific journals, these convincing yet subversive and deadpan works are an investigation into photography's authority and our inclination to believe what we see.

Exhibition highlights include astonishing photographs of mermaid fossils, incredible reports of mysterious fauna and eye-opening photographs of rare plant species.
