The main feature is a 35 mm print of Orchids and Ermine (1927), directed by Alfred Santell and starring Colleen Moore, Jack Mulhall, Sam Hardy, Gwen Lee and Mickey Rooney. Print courtesy of the BFI.
Set in New York City, flapper Pink Watson (Colleen Moore) works as a telephone operator at a cement factory. She dreams of marrying rich but her constant daydreaming of wealth annoys her fellow workers, and ruins the heart of one of her worshipping colleagues.

Charlie Chaplin: The Essanay Comedies Restored: DVD Launch, January 20th @ 7:30pm
Join the BFI and Cinema Museum for a special evening celebrating the comic genius of Charlie Chaplin and the groundbreaking films he made at the Essanay studio during 1915. The BFI’s Douglas Weir and Chaplin expert and writer Glen Mitchell will be in conversation and introduce new restorations of The Champion and The Bank. They will also reveal an interesting Chaplin connection recently unearthed in the BFI National Archive featuring another legendary British comic talent.  Find out more here
