Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 7 and 8 July, and also the following week.
If you are visiting Pride or watching England this weekend, most of the network will be open with services running as normal, so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but to ensure your journey goes smoothly please check if any of the following affect you. | |

From 08:00 until approximately 20:00 on Saturday 7 July, the following roads will be closed from Portland Place to Whitehall. From 08:00, Portland Place and Langham Place; from 09:00, Regent Street between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus; from 10:00, Piccadilly, Shaftesbury Avenue, Regent Street St James, Whitehall, Horse Guards Avenue and Trafalgar Square and approaches including Charing Cross Road southbound, Strand westbound and Northumberland Avenue westbound; from 10:30, Oxford Street and Regent Street between Mortimer Street and Oxford Circus.
From 06:00, Pall Mall East will be closed and all traffic will be diverted through the Cockspur Street bus lane; various roads will be closed in Soho, including Golden Square and Dean Street. From 07:00, Waterloo Place will be closed. Traffic disruption is likely on the A501 to the north, Park Lane and the A4 to the west and Victoria Embankment and Waterloo Bridge to the south. |

| On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July, there will be no service between Stratford and North Greenwich. This is due to a renewal and replacement of track points. |

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:
Wimbledon Tennis Championships - Until 23:00 on Sunday 15 July, there will be increased traffic levels and pedestrian activity around Southfields, Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon town centre and the area around the Wimbledon tennis Complex on Church Road and Wimbledon Park Road. Parking restrictions will be in force and traffic delays can be expected in these areas for the duration of the tournament.
Hyde Park - On Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July, South Carriage Drive and West Carriage Drive will be closed each day from 11:00. From 21:00 until 23:45 each day, Park Lane between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner and the eastbound up-slip from Knightsbridge to Hyde Park Corner will be closed. Expect larger than normal numbers of pedestrians in the area. This is due to an event.
A201 between Ludgate Hill and Stamford Street - From 05:00 until 12:00 on Sunday 8 July, temporary traffic holds will be in place for a 3 minute duration, 4 times an hour. From 05:00 to 23:00, Queen Victoria Street will be closed in both directions. This is to facilitate filming.
Westminster - From 07:00 until 18:00 on Tuesday 10 July, there will be various road closures in the St James’s Park area. This will include the following roads: Constitution Hill, The Mall, Birdcage Walk, Marlborough Road and Victoria Street between Artillery Road and Parliament Square. The outside lane on the western side of Parliament Square will also be closed. This is due to an event.
