Screening of The Wound (2017), Wednesday July 25th @ 7:45pm
at Screen25, Harris Academy, South Norwood, SE25 6AE
An intimate and boldly transgressive film by South African director John Trengove, charting a young teen's initiation ritual in a remote mountain retreat off the Eastern Cape. Featuring a terrific debut from openly gay musician Nakhane TourΓ©, better known in his native South Africa as a successful singer-songwriter, The Wound is a thought-provoking exploration of manhood as reflected through the prism of African Culture.
