Century of the Child:
Nordic Design for Children 1900 to Today
Until 2 September

See the 20th century’s most iconic and progressive Nordic designs for children, from BRIO to LEGO, Marimekko and the Moomins in this playful and interactive exhibition. Explore the cultural exchange of ideas between the Nordic countries and Britain and the worldwide impact of child centred design.

FESTIVAL
Summer Festival
Sunday 22 July, 11.30 – 16.30

The Museum’s annual festival returns with an eclectic mix of live entertainment for all ages. Enjoy performances by the South London Samba and the Balkan Music Trio, walkabout acts by juggler Ian Marchant, designer stalls, food, face paints, henna, games and more.

Nordic Summer Days
Thursdays 2 – 30 August, 11.00 – 16.00

Join us for a series of family days inspired by our Century of the Child: Nordic Design for Children From 1900 To Today exhibition. From storytelling to making and performance, go Nordic this summer!
V&A, SOUTH KENSINGTON
Summer Holidays for Families
Explore fashion, laughter and ceramics as a family at the V&A in South Kensington. Become a sustainable fashion designer on The Imagination Station, laugh out loud in Pop-up Performance and create your own ceramic in a Make-it workshop.
Summer Art Camp

This exciting week combines fun and creativity and is an opportunity for children to meet and work with artists and designers on a range of media, and make truly memorable creations.
