Looking for something to inspire, educate and excite your children this half term? We’ve got it covered with our range of activities inspired by Roman London.

Join us at the Museum of London to learn, play and explore what life was like for the ancient citizens of Londinium.

With amazing free drop in sessions and the chance to meet an award winning children's author, bump in to Romans in our galleries and treat the kids to a unique journey back in time this half term; all without leaving Zone 1!

Meet a real life (actor playing a) Roman Londoner whose soul hasn't crossed into the Underworld yet! 

Learn what she's seen over the centuries, explore the differences between Roman and modern London and help her finish her journey by recreating a Roman funeral.

Meet award winning children’s writer Caroline Lawrence, creator of the Roman Mysteries and Roman Quest series and discover what made Roman London so dangerous. Learn more about where she gets her inspiration, listen to a reading from her upcoming novel ‘The Time Travel Diaries’, and get the chance to ask her questions.
Visit the Museum of London Docklands this half term
Step back in time and discover the East End this half term at the Museum of London Docklands. From Cockney Rhyming slang workshops to storytelling sessions, enjoy an unforgettable day out in London’s famous East End during this half term.
