Cook up a festive mac 'n' cheese using Borough Market produce


Next Thursday 3rd December at 6:30pm, as part of our Festive Kitchen programme, we’re going to be dishing up a couple of plates of the most wintery and comforting of winter comfort food, made entirely with exceptional produce from Borough Market traders: caramelised onion and squash mac ’n’ cheese with winter spices and a panettone crumb topping. And if you live in London you can, by clicking a few buttons, have a box of the very same ingredients delivered to your door, ready to cook along with us.

Ben Ebbrell, chef and co-founder of the YouTube cookery phenomenon SORTEDfood, will be here to prepare this moreish seasonal feast live on our Facebook channel. In his recipe produce box, you’ll find cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy, pasta from Gastronomica, olive oil from De Calabria, veg from Stark’s Fruiterers, spices from Spice Mountain, and much more besides. There’s even a whole bottle of wine from Cartwright Brothers Vintners – a glass for the recipe, the rest to keep the evening swinging.

Angela Clutton, our host next week will be cooking a super quick and handy festive treat - seared scallops in butter sauce with honeyed slaw, if you would like to join her in a cookalong on Wednesday 2nd December at 6:30pm then head to our Christmas site and register and download the recipe
