The Strawberry Hill House Flower Festival returns for a fourth successive year from Friday 23 - Sunday 25 September 2022, with a spectacular showcase of the very best of British-grown flowers, foam-free sustainable floristry and the design creativity of the UK’s leading floral designers.

Shining a spotlight on the beauty, variety and versatility of fresh and dried flowers and cultivated by British flower farmers, the Flower Festival gives free creative rein to the invited florists. They share their artistry, expertise and passion for sustainable floral design in stunning installations throughout the House and in a range of workshops, talks, tours and demonstrations.

The participating florists and growers will also be sharing tips, photographs and other content across social media, leading up to and during the festival, using the hashtag: #StrawberryFlowerFestival

Talk: Unravelling Gibbons' Cravats
28 September 2022 at 7pm. Doors open from 6pm.

Horace Walpole famously wore Grinling Gibbons’ carved cravat to welcome and deceive his dinner guests. This panel discussion, as part of the GG300 Festival brings together Nick Humphrey (V&A Curator of Furniture and Woodwork 1300-1700), Silvija BaniΔ‡ (V&A Curator of Textiles before 1800), Sash Giles, (Chatsworth House Curator of Decorative Arts), Clunie Fretton (sculptor, carver and gilder) and will be chaired by Dr Martin Postle FSA (Deputy Director The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and Trustee of Strawberry Hill Trust).

London Luminaries Online Talk: Food in Gothic Literature 
12 October 2022 at 7pm

This talk explores the role that food and drink plays in classic and contemporary Gothic texts, varying from the withdrawal of food serving as a punishment to Mary Shelley’s vegetarian monster, who like Walpole, doesn’t “glut” his appetite with meat!

Bellmans Valuation Day
24 October 2022, 11am - 5pm. 

Included in general admission.

Bellmans Auctioneers will be holding a valuation day at Strawberry Hill House for the first time this October. Bellmans will bring together specialists from its jewellery, watches, silver, ceramics and picture departments, as well as a generalist, who will be based around the house ‘roadshow’ style to look at treasures brought along by visitors.
