We know, we know, it feels like autumn has only just begun. But we’ve got news for you, folks. It’s nearly winter, and Christmas is coming. But don’t fight it, people, get that mulled wine in and embrace the festive season. That’s an order.
And while you’re at it, get yourself booked into one of the brilliant events coming up at one of London’s most Christmassy venues – the Royal Albert Hall. For 150 years, the Royal Albert Hall has brought us bucketloads of festive cheer, and this year is looking bigger and better than ever, with 40 performances across 24 days to get your teeth into. We’re seriously looking forward to a queer orchestral extravaganza with Peaches Christ and Edwin Outwater at ‘A Christmas Gaiety’, and getting funky at Trevor Nelson’s ‘Soul Christmas’ featuring Vula Malinga from the Basement Jaxx. That’s not all: ‘Guy Barker’s Big Band Christmas’ will have you roaring for an encore and the London Community Gospel Choir are sure to get you out of your seats. Oh and don’t worry, they’ve got the classics too.
