VISIT Christmas at the royal residences Palace of Holyroodhouse and Windsor Castle 24 November 2022 - 2 January 2023 Both the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Windsor Castle will be decked with twinkling lights for Christmas. ACTIVITY Digital festive events at Windsor Castle Online 6 December At 19:00 we'll be hosting an online event all about festive traditions including sharing a selection of Christmas cards made by royal children. You can also join us earlier in the day, at 11:00 on Instagram for an 'ask me anything' event with one of our Decorative Arts curators who will answer your questions about decorating the Castle for Christmas. LECTURE / TALK Japanese swords and armour The Queen's Gallery, London 8 December Have you ever seen a samurai sword in use? In our exciting arms and armour demonstration event you'll have the chance to learn more about some of the objects on display in our Japan: Courts and Culture exhibition and see sword demonstrations.
