What's Happening at the Museum

We're getting ready to welcome in Winter with an exciting programme of events to celebrate. Our Winter Yard Sale returns with elegant homewares from more than 20 incredible brands, plus studio clear-out bargains, and stalls from local London makers. As part of the Artquest Unlocking the Collection residency, artist-researcher Elora Kadir crafted a fascinating short film inviting us to reconsider accessibility and its connection to disability. Using the Museum’s collections she delves into the relationships we share with the objects in our homes, exploring the ways in which they bring us comfort. Find out more

For families this October half-term Free | Tuesday 24 October Join us in the October half-term to make puppets and bring them to life in our playhouse, designed by architecture educators MATT+FIONA. Winter Festival From Tuesday 14 November With winter feasts laid out in holly bedecked halls, and Hannukah celebrations in an East End drawing room, our Rooms Through Time will be reimagined to reflect an array of winter festivities from a range of cultures over the centuries. Houseplant Festival 2023 at the Garden Museum 22 October 2023 Join our friends at the Garden Museum. Meet expert houseplant growers and sellers, find inspiration, join workshops and pick up houseplant care tips. Stalls will include a curated selection of plant shops for all your indoor garden needs – including sustainably grown plants, design-led handmade pots, artisan horticultural ephemera and tools.
