She'll reflect on work such as An Edible Family in a Mobile Home, currently on show as part of Women in Revolt! at Tate Britain. We’ll be chatting about the moments in her career that laid the foundations for a practice celebrating everyday life and human behaviour. Plus, you'll get a chance to ask questions about her distinctive artistic process in a Q&A. Get tickets © Sarah Poekert, Artistic Director of Thrive Dance Home Truths: The Body as Home Sunday 24 March 2024, 1pm to 5pm Ticketed | £3 to £8 Join us for this two-part day of dance, poetry, a panel talk and performances for all ages. Participants will be invited to take ownership of the space through movement, explore feelings of displacement, and look at the body as a medium to form a sense of belonging.  The day will include: Dance performances by Thrive Youth Dance Company It Just Sort of Happens One Day... dance solo by Sarah Poekert Poetry reading by Rupinder Kaur Waraich and of The Yak Dilemma by Supriya Kaur Dhaliwal Talk between Sarah Poekert and Rupinder Kaur Waraich, hosted by Gaynor Tutani.
