Led by a mysterious hot air balloon and incorporating fantastical imagery from books in the Library’s collections, Portals: The Machine of Worlds by Portuguese artists Ocubo invites us to enter universes of science, illusion and discovery.

Join us for this year’s Wordsworth Lecture with renowned author Jonathan Bate, who will explore his groundbreaking study of Wordsworth and the natural world, Romantic Ecology. Now newly updated and timelier than ever, Bate will be in conversation with Professor Drummond Bone, accompanied by dramatic readings from the writings of William and Dorothy Wordsworth.
There will be live music from folk rock band Smoke Fairies, and a special performance by the celebrated actor of stage and screen, Emily Woof.
