Bus strikeDue to planned strike action, some bus routes in southwest, west and northwest London will be disrupted during the following times:- From 05:00 on Friday 24 until 05:00 on Saturday 25 October
- From 05:00 on Monday 27 until 05:00 on Tuesday 28 October
- From 05:00 on Tuesday 4 until 05:00 on Friday 7 November
- From 05:00 on Friday 14 until 05:00 on Saturday 15 November
- From 05:00 on Monday 17 until 05:00 on Wednesday 19 November
- From 05:00 on Wednesday 26 until 05:00 on Saturday 29 November
During these strikes, little or no service is expected on the following routes: 13 (24hr route), 23 (24hr route), 31, 218, 295 (24hr route), 452 and N31.
All other bus routes, Tube and rail services will run as planned but services in this area may be busier than usual. Increased footfall and traffic levels are expected before and after each event, with some venues implementing local road closures to safely manage pedestrian and vehicle movements.
Stamford Bridge travel advice
If you are travelling to Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea football match on Saturday, here is some advice to get to/from the venue:- There is no District line service west of Embankment, including no service to/from Fulham Broadway, West Brompton or Earl's Court
- Supporters travelling to/from the stadium should use either Piccadilly line services to/from Earl's Court, or Mildmay line services to/from West Brompton or Imperial Wharf
- Piccadilly line services are expected to be extremely busy before and after the match, and there may be extended queues at Earl's Court after the event. Allow more time for your journey
Gtech Community Stadium travel advice
If you are travelling to the Gtech Community Stadium for the Brentford football match on Saturday, here is some advice to get to/from the venue: - There is no District line service west of Embankment, including Gunnersbury station
- Use either South Western Railway services between Waterloo and Kew Bridge, or Piccadilly line services to/from Acton Town
Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena travel advice
If you are travelling to Wembley for events at Wembley Stadium or Wembley Arena, here is some advice to get to/from the venues:- There will be no Bakerloo line service between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, and no service on the Lioness line
- Use either the Jubilee line or Metropolitan line to/from Wembley Park station
Friday 24 until Monday 27 OctoberA4 Cromwell RoadFrom 23:00 on Friday 24 until 05:00 on Monday 27 October, the westbound A4 West Cromwell Road will be closed between Warwick Road and North End Road. This is so we can safely operate a crane to carry out critical safety works on nearby infrastructure.
A signed diversion will be in place. Plan ahead, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel. Until Tuesday 4 NovemberBattersea BridgeOn Sunday to Thursday nights until Tuesday 4 November, there will be a series of overnight closures on Cheyne Walk, Battersea Bridge and Battersea Bridge Road. This is while we complete resurfacing works. Signed diversions will be in place for all closures.
On Sundays, closures will be between 20:00 and 05:00. On Mondays to Thursdays, closures will be between 21:00 and 05:00.
