Family fun this May half term
Why not visit both the Museum of London and the Museum of London Docklands this May half term?

At the Museum of London we're exploring Britain's early settlers and invaders, the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings. Pick up a family gallery trail of our Medieval London gallery and take part in interactive storytelling and creative arts and crafts workshops.

Head to the Museum of London Docklands where you can visit our free, family-friendly exhibition Tunnel: The Archaeology of Crossrail and take part in family events inspired by the exhibition's engineering story.

Museum of London
Take part in a musical version of the Beowulf legend and learn what made King Alfred the Great earn his title in an interactive storytelling session. Learn to weave like the Anglo-Saxons, make a model of their houses or design some beautiful brooches like the ones in our collections. With these events and more, you'll become an expert on some of London's most famous settlers and invaders.
Great Fire family walk

Now that spring has sprung, it's the perfect time to get out onto London's streets with our fun and interactive family walk. Get ready to take part in challenges as a family and be wowed by fascinating facts and anecdotes as you visit the sites struck by the fire. These walks are very popular so book now to avoid disappointment.

Be inspired by Brunel and build a bridge or help us create a pop-up scene of the Thames tunnel in our art workshops. Step back in time to meet a Victorian miner working on the city's first electric underground line in an interactive performance. With many more events, we'll get your youngsters excited about engineering this half term.

Museum of London Docklands
Explore the fascinating objects found along the route of the new Elizabeth line at our family-friendly, interactive exhibition. Grab a microscope and discover London's past and future. Identify what was sold in Victorian glass factories by sniffing our smell boxes, build a tunnel out of foam blocks and much more.
