Hundreds of thousands of revellers descend on Notting Hill for day two of Carnival 2013 - London - News - London Evening Standard:

Europe's biggest street festival - celebrating Caribbean culture, food and music - opened at 9am with the start of the procession as forecasters predicted temperatures of up to 26C.

Parade: Notting Hill carnival was in full swing on day twoThousands of revellers lined the streets to see the parade of floats and feather clad dancers along the route from Great Western Road to Ladbroke Grove where it was due to end at 7pm.
Thousands more were expected to gather on the streets around the carnival route where dozens of sound systems had been set up. 
Party day: two women take a picture before the day two of the carnivalToday was adults' day of the 49th year of the festival which is expected to attract up to one million people over two days.
By 11am thousands had already lined the streets of Notting Hill to see the carnival procession.
Bright display: A reveller in resplendent attireUnder the Westway, hundreds attended a party hosted by Red Bull Music Academy, with acts including The Marleys, Bob Marley's sons, Disclosure and David Rodigan.
Onlookers included people from all of the UK.
