The UK’s largest ever exhibition of comics features iconic names including Neil Gaiman (Sandman), Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta), Grant Morrison (Batman: Arkham Asylum) and Posy Simmonds (Tamara Drewe). 

Comics Unmasked explores works that challenge categorisation, preconceptions and the status quo, while demystifying the creative process with original scripts, preparatory sketches and final artwork.

Parental guidance advised for visitors under 16 years.

Dave McKean: 9 lives
In a UK premiere live performance, artist Dave McKean presents original songs and stories accompanied by film clips and animation.  

(Super)Hero with 1000 Faces 
Meet Batman writer Grant Morrison and others to find out why our recent superheroes have become darker and more complex.  

The First Graphic Novel Award 

Novelist Meg Rosoff and cartoonist Woodrow Phoenix judge this year’s entries to the Myriad First Graphic Novel Competition, open to all previously unpublished cartoonists, writers and artists.

Come and celebrate some of the best writers and graphic artists from around Europe in the sixth annualEuropean Literature Night. Superb reportage, humorous explorations of the nature of power, chilling dystopia-meets-crime fiction and haunting portrayals of broken familial relationships combine for one of the must-see events in the UK literary calendar. The events are followed by a drinks reception and free entry to the Comics Unmasked exhibition.
