The Finest Hours - Film Synopsis - Poster - Trailer

It is 1952, and the Coast Guards at Cape Cod are preparing for a storm. The approaching blizzard has already picked up the waters, and conditions are looking pretty bleak.
When a distress call comes in from the sea, the Coast Guard realise that a pair of oil tankers have been virtually destroyed in the storm, with more than 30 soldiers stranded on what remains of their vessel.
Four men set out on the most dangerous rescue mission of their lives, leaving behind the women who can do nothing but wait for news. With the odds overwhelmingly against them, the crew face the seemingly impossible task of rescuing the soldiers, and surviving the journey home.
This incredible tale of courage and sacrifice is based on the true events of the 1952 Pendleton rescue mission, and is directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl).
Starring Chris Pine (Into the Woods), Ben Foster (Lone Survivor), and Holliday Grainger (Cinderella), The Finest Hours is a thrilling and dramatic story of four men and their remarkable bravery.
