Families go free! Come to our free family day inspired by the Whitechapel Gallery’s exhibitions.
 
Delve into the digital technology, art and ideas of Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966) with artist Chloe Cooper. Build props and make films which are live-streamed in the Gallery for everyone to see.

 
Inspired by Intellectual Barbarians: The Kibbo Kift Kindred, get crafty with artist Rebecca Davies and create outfits like the colourful costumes worn by the Kibbo Kift group. 

Using locally sourced textiles, you'll learn pattern printing and appliqué techniques while listening to a soundtrack of rhythms and beats...dancing is encouraged!

This event is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Take a journey into Electronic Superhighway and download our free sound trail 

Explore the exhibition with a brand new sound-based Activity Trail by artist Jenny Moore. 

Download the trail onto your smart phone or tablet or pick up an audio device at the Gallery to use during your trip. Available from Saturday 12 March.
