Kennington Talkies Presents; Virtue (1932), Sunday 27th May @ 2:30pm
Virtue (1932) was directed by Edward Buzzell and stars Carole Lombard and Pat O’Brien.
This comedy-drama follows the romance of a New York streetwalker (Lombard) and a cab driver (O’Brien), who has a dislike for women. Genuinely warm chemistry between the two stars and snappy pre-Code patter spark this likeable film.

Advanced tickets are £6 and may be purchased from Billetto or call 020 7840 2200 to purchase direct from the Museum during office hours.
Screening of Dispossession: The Great Social Housing Swindle, Friday 8th June @ 7:30pm
Dispossession: The Great Social Housing Swindle (2017) is a feature documentary directed by Paul Sng and narrated by Maxine Peake, exploring the catastrophic failures that have led to a chronic shortage of social housing in Britain.
The film focuses on the neglect, demolition and regeneration of council estates across the UK and investigates how the state works with the private sector to demolish council estates to build on the land they stand on, making properties that are unaffordable to the majority of people.
Dispossession is the story of people fighting for their communities, of people who know the difference between a house and a home, and who believe that housing is a human right, not an expensive luxury.  Find out more here
Advance tickets are £8.50 (£6.50 concession) and can be purchased from Billetto, or call 020 7840 2200 to purchase direct from the Museum by calling during office hours.  If you would prefer to pay on the door, the price will be £10 (£7 concession).
Screening of If.....(1968), Saturday 9th June @ 7:30pm
Lindsay Anderson’s if…. (1968) is regarded as one of the best British films of all time. This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with actor and author David Wood and film critic George Perry.
David Wood co-starred as one of three rebel schoolboys in a public school. His character, Johnny, along with Mick (Malcolm McDowell) and Wallace (Richard Warwick), led the revolution against authority, which was regarded by many as a metaphor for the social and political situation in the UK.  Find out more here
