Museum of London - Unearth the mystery from 11 September

Havering Hoard: A Bronze Age Mystery - new exhibition opens 11 September 2020

Dig deep and unearth the mystery of the Havering Hoard in our brand new major exhibition at the Museum of London Docklands.

Consisting of 453 bronze objects dating between c.900 and c.800, this internationally significant find is the largest Bronze Age hoard ever to be discovered in London and we are delighted to finally put it on show in all its glory.

Why was the hoard buried in the first place? Who were the people that buried it? Why did they never recover it? All these questions and more will be explored as we take you from the moment of discovery back through time when the land where London now exists was a very different place.

Entry to the exhibition is included with your free timed museum ticket. Please note, tickets are available 6 weeks in advance, with more dates being released weekly.
