We've missed you! After 10 months of improvement works, taking place behind our closed doors, we are thrilled to be reopening on Tuesday 6 February 2024.
It’s taken six new show cases, 7,000 specimen moves, 200 conservation treatments, 350 new labels and many litres of paint.
Come and visit the new displays next month, and find out how our collection continues to have huge impact on how we understand and learn from the natural world. New interpretation explores the Museum's role in conservation research, and highlights how the collections can inspire us to rebalance our relationship with nature.
Tuesday 6 February (1-5pm) will be our first day of public opening, and our first Saturday opening will be 10 February (11am-5pm).
Upcoming events in the Museum
- On our opening Saturday, curatorial staff will be on hand throughout the Museum to welcome you, answer your questions and shed further light on the work we've been undertaking.
We hope you can join us!
