Welcome to our January newsletter, we hope you had a good Christmas break.

Our London gallery exhibition, Holbein at the Tudor Court features stunning portraits by the famed 16th-century German artist, providing a fascinating glimpse into Renaissance society. With its popularity, we recommend visiting in the afternoon which may be quieter. We also have a tranquil slow looking event, perfect for reflecting on Holbein's mastery (and it's free too!).

Henry VIII's armour

Henry VIII is well-known for his ample girth in later life. However, as a young man he was an athletic warrior. This armour had to adapt to fit his changing size throughout his life.

See the armour and meet King Charles III's Armourer for a lunchtime talk in The Queen’s Gallery, London on 5 February.
