This February Glitterbox will take over Jealous Gallery in Shoreditch with a free exhibition to celebrate five years of incredible moments, music and people. As its fifth season in Ibiza fast approaches, now is a good moment to reflect on what has set Glitterbox apart and contributed to its unprecedented success so far – not only the DJs, performers, dancers, and clubbers, but the artists, photographers and designers that capture the party’s unique spirit.
Running from Tuesday 13th February until Sunday 18th February, Glitterbox’s takeover at Jealous will showcase the iconic artwork and photography that has become synonymous with Glitterbox parties around the world. Renowned artist and Blitz Kid Mark Wardel will be exhibiting his exclusive original works that will be available to purchase as limited, signed prints. The work of Glitterbox’s resident photographer Gavin Mills will be on display along with never-before-seen photography from all five years of parties. Archive flyers, posters and graphic prints will also be on show. The exhibition, which will be open to the public between 11am and 7pm each day, will reveal brand new artwork for the 2018 season and be accompanied by some very special gallery events (to be announced).
Over the last six months the Glitterbox phenomenon has grown exponentially, touring the world and becoming one of London’s most in-demand parties, selling out shows months in advance. Glitterbox defines the look, sound and feel of 21st century disco – bringing the true meaning of ‘dance music’ to 2018. Jealous is a contemporary gallery, print publisher and printing studio, based in East London’s creative hub of Shoreditch. Known for its collaborative approach to producing high quality, limited edition prints with artists, galleries and designers, Jealous is the perfect spot to showcase Glitterbox’s creative extravaganza.
