The nights may be drawing in, but for one aerial photographer it offered the chance to capture a snapshot of London as the seasons change.
Over the least six weeks, Jason Hawkes has been capturing a bird's eye view of London, lit up at night.
And here is the end result, 20 images taken high above the city - from Westfield, to Crossrail to Westminster and beyond.
