Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winning composer Ennio Morricone will take to the stage at Blenheim Palace’s Great Court in Oxfordshire as part of the Nocturne concert series, in his first ever UK show outside of London. Part of a string of performances at unique outdoor locations in Europe, his only summer performance in the UK celebrates the Maestro’s 60 Years of Music World Tour. This tour has seen over 200 singers and musicians playing a completely new programme to sold-out arenas across the continent, receiving countless standing ovations and overwhelming critical acclaim.
Ennio Morricone has composed over 500 scores for cinema and television as well as over 100 absolute music works. Highlights include his scores for Once Upon a Time in the West, Once Upon a Time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, The Untouchables, The Mission and most recently The Hateful Eight--winner of a Golden Globe for “Best Original Score”, a BAFTA for “Original Score”, “Best Soundtrack” at the New York Film Critics Circle and an Academy Award for “Best Original Score”.
