London Submarine Commuter Service

London is to commence a submarine commuter service later this year. It will operate from the main piers where embarkation and disembarkation for the water taxis services currently take place.

Visitors to London can enjoy the following service to locations.
Millbank Pier for Tate Britain
London Eye Pier for SEA LIFE London Aquarium, The London Dungeon, and the Coca-Cola London Eye
Bankside Pier for Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
London Bridge City Pier for HMS Belfast, Borough Market, and The Shard
Tower Millennium Pier for Tower of London and Tower Bridge
North Greenwich Pier for The O2 and the Emirates Air Line
Greenwich Pier for Greenwich

A spokes person for the Mayors office stated that it was a much-needed service to ease congestion during the commuter rush hour and, also, offer another experience event in London at all other times.

Commuters can use their Oyster card, and also, frequent users can apply for a Fish card offering greater discounts.

TTSFL (Thames Transport Submarines for London) - Pointed out that on poor days visibility from the port holes may not be excellent depending on rainfall and conditions. People should be aware that delays may occur during higher tides and in particular when going against the tide.
Timetables reflect this information and are updated in realtime.

Perhaps the only problem maybe the commuters maritime and transport union who said that unless pay for nighttime services can be agreed, they would strike.

TTSFL - Are pleased to launch a new range in the gift shop with souvenir lifesavers with slogans such as mind the river and be lucky. A set of tea towels with slogan All Washed Up are expected to be best sellers.
