SUMMER HOLIDAYS
There’s still time to take part in Summer holiday fun at the V&A – join us throughout August and early September for family activities, available everyday. Explore connections between nature and engineering at the Imagination Station, be part of Pop-up Performances every Saturday, or explore the Museum with a back-pack or trail. All activities are free, drop-in and recommended for ages 3+ unless otherwise stated. Read more

Explore the connections between nature and engineering and build a collaborative lightweight structure. On Fridays, work together with graduate engineers from Arup.

Take part in Pop-up Performance every Saturday throughout the Summer holidays. Join African Storyteller Usifu Jalloh on 20 & 27 August in a lively performance to find out all about the man who just has to chew! On 3 September enter the world of Beatrix Potter inPeter Rabbit and Friends, an enchanting puppet show from No Nonsense Theatre.

Explore the V&A with fun activities and multi-sensory materials. Choose from back-packs or trails, available every day from the Learning Centre on Level 3.


 
HANDS-ON EXHIBITS
Find hands-on exhibits throughout the galleries. Don’t miss the NEW family fun interactives in theEurope 1600–1815 galleries. Explore the natural and man-made world in The Cabinet; copy the Harlequin’s moves in The Masquerade; follow the parrot to find 30 special family labels; play Terrible Trades; explore The Ommengang painting in detail and Design a Wig (available on the V&A website only).

Immerse yourself in the worlds of plays, musicals and productions such as War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Matilda. Through interactive exhibits, be a sound designer, experiment with theatre lights and practice your ballet on the barre. Read more

Join us to celebrate Chuseok, the Korean Harvest Festival. On Saturday listen to traditional Korean stories told by storyteller Sef Townsend in Pop-up Performance and on Sunday join the Drop-in Design team to create your own Korean kite. 
 
FAMILY ART FUN: 
LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL

To mark the opening weekend of this year’s London Design Festival, listen to the magical sounds of the paetzold bass recorder and electronics in a Pop-up Performance by Royal College of Music graduate Katie Cowling. On Sunday play with images and text and build stories for your own booklet in Drop-in Design: Visual stories, an activity designed by Goethe V&A Photography Resident Helmut Völter and graphic designer Ina Kwon.

MAGICAL MUSEUM SLEEPOVER

After an evening of creative activities, a magical museum trail and storytelling, you’ll enjoy a special night’s sleep in the company of fairies, puppets, dolls and trains.
