Home Movie Day 2017, Saturday November 18th @ 11:00am
For the tenth London Home Movie Day, film archivists will take time out of the vaults to help the public enjoy and save their home movies. Home Movie Day shows how home movies on 8mm, Super8, 9.5mm and 16mm offer a unique view of past life in London and of family history. There will be a free Film Clinic, staffed by volunteer film archivists, to which members of the public may bring their films for examination. Film London will be showcasing home movies from the London’s Screen Archives and LSA archivists will be on hand throughout the day to offer advice about your own home movies. Adam Feinstein Presents Casablanca (1942), Thursday 7th December @ 7:00pm
Casablanca turns 75 this year. To mark the occasion, the film critic and historian, Adam Feinstein – a specialist in the life and work of the man who directed this legendary movie, Michael Curtiz – will introduce a special screening. He will reveal previously unknown facts and demolish some of the oft-repeated myths surrounding the making of the picture (including insights from his conversation with Ingrid Bergman’s daughter, Isabella Rossellini) and explain why Casablanca has remained such an enduringly popular masterpiece for three quarters of a century. More...

Save The Cinema Museum Campaign Meeting Monday October 30th at 7pm
Just a reminder about the campaign meeting to share ideas and formulate a plan to save the Museum.
Obviously this is a free event, but in order to manage the room capacity, could you please order a ticket via the Eventbrite website.
Jon Davies will be chairing the meeting, and if you have any questions or points that you would like answered or discussed at the meeting, you can email them to Jon, and he will ensure that they are addressed.
