Film Night presents; Concrete Soldiers UK (2017), Friday 8th December @ 7pm
WoolfeVision and Aylesbury Film Night presents the world premiere of the documentary Concrete Soldiers UK (2017), directed by Nikita Woolfe, about the social cleansing of housing estates and those resisting the destruction of their homes. The film focuses on the Aylesbury, Cressingham Gardens and Central Hill council estates in London. The film encourages viewers to have hope, and a belief that a fairer future is possible.
Followed by a live performance by Potent Whisper, spoken word artist, and a debate hosted by filmmaker Nikita Woolfe and the journalist and activist Andy Worthington, who narrates the film, about the future of social housing, and how to forge links and offer alternatives, bringing glimmers of light in these dark times.
