Shakespeare’s Globe is staging the timeless tale of Hansel and Gretel this winter, with accompanying workshops for 5-8 and 9-12 years olds. The Brothers Grimm story has been adapted for the legendary stage by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, and is a festive treat for anyone over 5 years. Other shows this season include a concert from classical guitarist Xuefei Yang, and comedian Tim Key’s Chrimbo Bimbo show, both at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. |

Try a new winter sport this season; King’s Cross is back with its Club Curling, for anyone on the hunt for some friendly, festive competition. Up to six people can take part per lane, with sessions lasting 45 minutes. Worry not; any wounded pride can be soothed at the adjoining pop-up bar. King’s Cross is also launching its first ever late-night shopping series, ‘Thursday Lates’, accompanied by weekly ‘90s-themed DJ sets. |
