Strawberry Hill House & Garden - Seasonal Highlights at Strawberry Hill House

Seasonal Highlights at
Strawberry Hill House

This Winter, explore our double exhibition The Devil is in the Detail: Dürer’s Great Passion and Early Woodcuts from the Schroder Collection and Christiane Baumgartner. There Goes the Sun. From the rich history of the German Renaissance to the modern innovations of today, witness the evolution of this intricate art form that was much admired by Horace Walpole. Runs until 10 April 2024. Entry included in general admission.

Our next curator talk There Goes the Sun; an introduction to the work of Christiane Baumgartner takes place next Friday, 24 November at 11am with Jonathan Watkins. Previously the Director of Ikon and curator of the Serpentine Gallery, Jonathan has curated a number of large international exhibitions and written extensively on contemporary art. Also coming up, join Anne Desmet RA, who will be running a talk on wood engravings and the celebrated artists who made them, on Wednesday 6 December at 10am.

And finally, don’t miss our popular Christmas Concert with our very own Strawberry Hill House Choir on Tuesday 5 December - tickets are selling fast, so don’t miss out!
