From the cult French artist who changed cinema, this exhibition takes us on a journey through the themes that absorbed the visionary filmmaker: museum, travel, film, revolution and war. Marker's vivid film-essays lace realism with science fiction and lyricism with politics and his remarkable influence extends across art, experimental film and mainstream cinema.

Contemporary Art Society: The Best is Not Too Good for You

With bright and bold pots and prints by leading British and international Pop artists, this packed display includes Picasso’s face plates from the early 1960s; Babe Rainbow (1967) by the British Pop artist Peter Blake; and Turner Prize-winner Grayson Perry’s huge pot, depicting skateboarders, Designer Rebellion (1999).

In collaboration with artist Stephen Morgana and architectNick Wood, the Whitechapel Gallery's youth group calledDuchamp & Sons create new works in response to the space. The exhibition includes a sculptural intervention into the room's skylight and a piece that is continuously disassembled and rebuilt into new forms.
