Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters live a quaint life in the English countryside, with their mother desperate to find them all suitable husbands. These young ladies have been brought up to be very accomplished, polite and dutiful. However, they are also expert zombie-killers.
19th-century England is overrun by a horde of zombies, so every woman worth her mettle has learned how best to take out any unmentionables that come their way.
At a local ball, both Elizabeth and her elder sister Jane encounter men who catch their eyes, but for very different reasons. Jane is totally enamoured with Mr Bingley, whereas Elizabeth cannot stand Mr Darcy.
Despite this, Elizabeth cannot stop thinking about him, but she learns all about his former deceptions when the militia comes to town. Soon enough, she strikes a friendship with Mr Wickham, one of the soldiers.
Elizabeth decides to kill Mr Darcy and finds herself waging war against him and the army of zombies that constantly stand in her path.
The world of the Bennet girls is unpredictable and uncertain, but can they satisfy their mother with good matches and survive the constant onslaught of zombie terror?
Seth Grahame-Smith’s 2009 novel of the same name has become a cult favourite and the long-awaited film adaptation is finally coming to cinemas, directed by Burr Steers (Charlie St. Cloud).
This incredible mashup features an all-star ensemble cast, including Lily James (Cinderella), Sam Riley (Suite Française), Douglas Booth (The Riot Club), Bella Heathcote (The Rewrite), Jack Huston (American Hustle), Matt Smith (Terminator Genisys), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), and Charles Dance (The Imitation Game).
