No peaceful resolution is on the horizon, only gathering storm clouds. Lysistrata, unable to stand the bloodshed any longer, brokers a truce with women from across the empire.

Bright Club is the platform that transforms researchers into stand-up comedians.
The performers will be tackling the theme ‘the year of the mind and mental health’ - and fusing this with satire, comedy and science. Iszi Lawrence will be the compere for the night. Headlining the show is award-winning comedian Tom Goodlife.

From lions to pythons and sharks to crocodiles, join us this half-term holiday as we investigate the amazing ways that meat-eaters find, catch and eat their prey. Take part in our fun specimen based activities and get up close to our skulls and skeletons.

Thu 15th February
Venue: South Cloisters,
UCL Wilkins Main Building
Tickets £7

Don your best mourning garments as we throw a wake for Jeremy Bentham, the 270 year old philosopher whose request to have his body preserved and put on public display revolutionised the way we thought about death, the dead body and grief.
Since his death in 1832 our attitudes towards death and grief have changed significantly, going from the very public displays of mourning beloved by the Victorians to personal private affairs today. But with recent movements such as Death Café and Dying Matters, how we grieve and how we celebrate a person’s life at the point of their death is being discussed much more openly.

Join us at a Wake for Jeremy Bentham to discuss the role of death and grief in society today and in our special created Victorian mouring parlour raise a glass to the man himself.

Thu 22nd February
Venue: Stratford Circus Arts Centre,
Theatre Square, Stratford, E15 1BX
