August at Kew Gardens

Image of the Palm House Parterre
We hope you’ve been enjoying the recent heatwave. Our horticulture teams have been working hard to protect the huge variety of plants we have in our Gardens at Kew. Our Director of Horticulture, Richard Barley, explains how we have been coping with the dry conditions in a recent blog post. Despite the heat, the Palm House Parterre is in full colour whilst the Salvias on the Salvia Border by the Rock Garden are beautifully blooming in the August sunshine.

Across the Gardens, discover a range of summer activities suitable for all ages, from Alice in Wonderland to The Botanical Supper Club.
